COUNTY SINGLES

UNBADGED PAIRS

Open to all paid up playing members of Clubs affiliated to D.C.I.B.A. and not having  been badged prior to 1st October in the year of entering the competition.

*   The winners will receive the David Butterworth Cup.

*   All other sections of the County Competitons  apply.

*   The final will be held  the Presidents’s club

COUNTY TRIPLES COMPETITION

An “open” competition.

The Perpetual Cup is warded to the winners and cash prizes to the winners, runner-up and losing semi finalists.

The competition is regionalised to reduce travelling in early rounds.

Open draw from last 16 and the semi finals and finals at the County Presidents home Club.

UNDER 21’s SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP

Open to either gender being affiliated to a Devon Indoor Club. Not having attained the age of 21 years prior to 1st October in the year of the competition (NB this is a “local” ruling only. Entrants to National Under 25 competitions must check the national rulings)

 The knock-out part of the competition played in Sets will take place at Honiton I.B.C.

WESTPORT TROPHY

Series of two competitive matches played against Cornwall. Matches will be played at Bodmin and Torbay.

 Teams of qualified players are selected by the Executive Officers.

The aggregate score across the two matches decides the winner.

LIBERTY TROPHY

This is the major Inter County Competition run by the E.I.B.A. Run on a knock-out basis.

 Since 2006/7 matches will be played on a green nominated by the Challenger.

The team comprises SIX rinks and current selection for the team is the responsibility of the County Team Manager (CONTACT DETAILS on County Contacts page)

UNDER 25’s DOUBLE RINK

A knock-out competition run by the E.I.B.A.

Team selected and managed by the County Team Manager (Contact details on County Contacts)

OVER 60’s  INTER COUNTY DOUBLE RINK

This is a National Competition run by the EIBA on a knock out basis.

The format comprises 6 rinks with 3 rinks playing at home and 3 rinks away with play taking place simultaneously.

Three selectors were appointed in 2016 to select the team: they are Stuart Evans, Gordon Thomas and John Berry
